History of CB Richard Ellis in Japan

CB Richard Ellis traces the roots of its operations in Japan to February 1970 with the founding of Ikoma Shoji, a locally grown real estate operation that served as a key partner for over two decades before forming a capital relationship and later becoming a consolidated subsidiary of the parent group.

Established separately in 1986 as the local Richard Ellis real estate operation, CBRE Japan has grown and developed in response to local market trends and the changing needs of its predominantly multi-national corporate clients.

On 1st April 2007, CBRE Japan relocated to the Japan group headquarters in Hamamatsucho in the Minato Ward of Tokyo as part of a broader consolidation of CB Richard Ellis operations in Japan.

Our team of savvy, bilingual professionals provides investors and occupiers with impartial advice and local market expertise from a mulit-cultural perspective.  Our service line spans from investment advice and tenant representation to corporate services and research & consulting, reflecting an in-depth knowledge of products, services and processes cutting across all sectors of the real estate industry.
