Taipei – CBRE is pleased to announce that Tom
Gaffney has been appointed Managing Director for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan at
CBRE. He will join at the end of Q1 2016.
Mr Gaffney joins from JLL where he was
Head of Retail, Hong Kong and China. He was a member of JLL’s Global Retail
Board and Co-chairman of Retail for Asia Pacific, involved in managing and
setting the strategic direction for its retail business across the region.

teams, excellent client relationships and market leading positions. He quickly
emerged as a standout candidate and we are thrilled to have him join us at CBRE.
Tom’s strong management and business skills will be an asset in helping us

Mr Gaffney will become part of CBRE’s Greater
China Executive Committee and will report to Mr Duncan.
Mr Gaffney replaces Craig Shute, who is
returning home to Australia with his family early in 2016 to take a position as
Executive General Manager, Property, at the Adelaide Airport, Ltd. Mr Shute has
been assisting in the recruitment process for his replacement.
Mr Shute’s career with CBRE spans an
impressive 17 years. He joined the Hong Kong team as Managing Director in
August 2008, following senior management positions with CBRE in Adelaide, San
Diego and Las Vegas. In November 2013, Mr Shute was promoted to the Asia
Pacific Strategic Group (APSG) which oversees the strategic direction of CBRE
within Asia Pacific.
